When I saw this necklace via Twitter, I was quite sure I knew where this week’s post was coming from: Hotlanta! June Shin, the designer of this necklace, was kind enough to tweet me a bunch of links to her crafty Atlanta friends.
Jeanette, from Quiet Animals, is best know for her pottery over at Vessels and Wares. But her little animals were too cute to pass up! Each little animal is designed by Jeanette and applied to the clay using a lino-print technique. I love the idea of one of these little guys sitting at my desk and talking me through writer’s block!
If you love quirky illustrations and amazing surface design – you’re going to love Jess Gonacha. I first learned about Jess on Scoutie Girl – where I am now the editor! [Congratulations Tara!! -Erika] – and I was hooked.
How cute is this little octopus creation from Lil Sprout Knits? Each piece is created from cotton that is “certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. The FSC only certifies manufacturers that maintain their cottons from well-managed forests, controlled sources, & recycled wood & fiber.” This is going on a wish list for Lola!
Know someone who needs a little shot of optimism every now and again? This clever card from Inkspot Workshop is sure to do the trick.
