I didn’t get to watch this year’s Grammy Awards, but I did see some of the dresses that were worn. Like most award shows the woman’s fashion ranged from plain to gorgeous to just plain weird. For those singers whose outfits missed the mark this year, I present these beautiful handmade formal dresses. For those of us who can’t carry a tune, these dresses are the perfect choice for your next formal occasion or just when you need to feel a little glamorous.
For the rocker chic, this black satin number by Decadent Designs is the perfect way to show off your curves. While the piece looks like a dress, it’s actually a blouse and separate pencil skirt. The tie around the neck adds a sultry touch to the overall look, while the ruffles work to highlight the waist and draw attention to the legs. With the right accessories, this dress will turn heads for the right reasons – no eggs needed.
The ruffled Chameleon dress by Isadora is perfect as much like a sculpture as a dress. The layers of fabric fold beautifully across the bottom, while the top of the dress has a more airy look. The top of the dress can be worn eight different ways and it can even be transformed into a skirt, but I think it looks just perfect how it’s pictured.
The Begonia Dress by Kelsey Genna is just gorgeous, with the bottom of the dress mimicking the flower petals that it is named after. Made of Dupion silk, the back of this dress is just as beautiful as the front, featuring a low sweeping back that opposes the more demur lines featured on the front of the dress. The dress can be made in any color and the length can be customized as well.
The beautiful print at the top of this post was created by CrowBiz.
