Winter Holiday Postcard Set from Nella Designs
The snow hasn’t started falling yet on our local mountains, but I know the onslaught of winter weather is really just around the corner! But don’t get me wrong, I love snow, and probably more than the average person. I’m certain it helps that I work from my home office – which means I don’t have to head out into it as much as my friends and family do.
For us, here on the West Coast, they’re predicting a particularly snowy winter and I’m already daydreaming about snowshoeing and peppermint hot chocolate. Well that’s on the bright side of things – sure I don’t look forward to slipping and sliding and falling on my rear which usually happens to me a couple times every snowy season! All the same I try to keep a positive outlook, and I always like to take a look at the beautiful art and design that is influenced by the snow and cold that winter brings.
So, I hope you’ll join me in a celebration of snow and all things cold as we prepare for winter (only 3 weeks away)!
The cards at the top of this post are from Nella Designs – this talented South Carolina native has been designing for over 10 years and loves working with paper to create fun new cards.
Red Bird Ink is offering the beautiful limited edition art prints pictured below – each representing a different snowy forest scene.
I always love coming across shops belonging to fellow Canadians. I have long been a fan of the work of Jennifer Squires, and this beautiful photo below reminds me that we ought to give pause every day to really soak up the beauty that can be found in every day moments.
Finally I leave you with this exquisite photo from new to me photographer, Abby Blaine, of New Hope, Pennsylvania. Abby is a passionate and very talented self-taught photographer who loves the outdoors.
