I just got back from a local art show featuring work by kids from Kindergarten through 12th grade (about ages 5 – 18), and I was amazed by the wonderful pieces I saw.
Self portrait digital media by Anastasia Ionkin, Grade 12
Figure soft pastel by Yeseul Choi, Grade 12
Digital self-portraits by Helen Yguarta, Hans von Clemm, Jaine Evora, and Miranda Ku, all Grade 7
Self portrait acrylic on canvas board by Tamara Chang, Grade 11
Of course I’m biased, but my favorite was my son’s artwork! (He’s wearing his favorite necklace from Additions Style :)
Barrack Obama crayon and watercolor by Henry Jurney, Grade 1
Anticipation soft pastel by Diane Jung, Grade 10
Randomness soft pastel by Stephanie Liu, grade 10
The next generation appears to be doing a great job, and we’re going to be in capable hands.
I love kids art and you have featured some amazing young artists.
I recently did a beading project with third graders and watching kids create is wonderful.
